By pulling women together from all of North Dakota, this Summit creates a diverse network for women who want to grow both personally and professionally. We know that by leveraging women’s talents and resources we strengthen the individual as well as the collective.

Whether a professional in the workplace, a business owner, or simply a woman aspiring to improve herself, participants will find a variety of breakout sessions and activities to choose from featuring speakers from across the state of ND.

Kristen Hadeed

In 2009, after her parents told her she'd need to get a job to pay for a pair of pricey jeans, Kristen Hadeed decided to create her own opportunity instead. While in college, she founded Student Maid™, a unique house cleaning service that hires only students. Kristen balanced being an entrepreneur and an undergrad — all while motivating hundreds of college students to get excited about scrubbing toilets.

At only 25 years old, Kristen possesses the business savvy and experience of leaders twice her age. Her business—which began as a part-time cleaning gig with a couple of her friends—has blossomed into a company with more than 400 college student employees during its peak season. However, Kristen’s journey as a young entrepreneur hasn’t been a walk in the park. Along the way, she’s endured defeats and setbacks so devastating that most people, especially a college student, would have thrown in the towel.

From being denied a bank loan to hearing others in the business world say her dream was impossible, Kristen learned to see the word “no” as empowering. That attitude is what has allowed Kristen to grow Student Maid™ from a small business that started as just a few friends scrubbing toilets to an award-winning cleaning service that recently opened its second location and is making its way across the country.

With every setback, in business and in life, Kristen has learned to embrace failure as a priceless lesson and an opportunity to accomplish bigger and better things. She has never been afraid to think bigger than herself, lead others, and turn obstacles that seem doomed for failure into success.

By sharing her own experiences as a young entrepreneur through funny, honest and revealing anecdotes, Kristen shows her audiences how to transform into leaders worth following.
