Women’s Business Summit Includes Special Celebration This Year
The annual CTB Women’s Business Summit is set to occur during National Women’s Small Business Month, October 12-13, but this year there will be one more celebration added to the mix. Center for Technology & Business (CTB), which serves as the only Women’s Business Center in North Dakota is celebrating their 15 year anniversary.
An opening night Wine, Women and Chocolate reception has been added to the Summit this year and will be held in honor of CTB’s milestone celebration.
Center for Technology & Business is a non-profit founded in 1999 by Tara Holt that provides unique and diverse business development services across the state of North Dakota for individuals and small businesses. CTB specializes in trainings related to leadership, technology and women’s business development and has served over 21,000 North Dakotans since it opened the doors.
The Women’s Business Summit is one of the largest trainings of the year for the organization. Approximately 300 attendees from across the state and region are expected to come together for in-demand personal and professional development opportunities. The lineup includes a Breakfast with Entrepreneurs Panel, fabulous keynote speaker Kristen Hadeed, 18 amazing breakout sessions, and of course the opening night Wine, Women & Chocolate reception. This unique event has become the go-to training for women of all walks of life looking to grow both personally and professionally.
This year’s keynote speaker is entrepreneur Kristen Hadeed with an inspiring story of learning to see the word “no” as empowering. Kristen will be sharing her story and failures with attendees as well as four very important lessons she has learned on her road to success regarding vision, values, tough love and relationships.
Whether a professional in the workplace, a business owner, or simply a woman aspiring to improve herself, participants of the 2014 Women’s Business Summit are sure to have a worthwhile and enlightening experience to help launch them into the next steps of their career.
