Southwest ND Trainings Focus on Investment in Efficiency
How Mobile Apps Help Small Businesses
Understanding new technologies and current online marketing strategies is crucial to maintaining and growing a successful business in this day and age. At the third workshop in th the Business Technology Acceleration Program (BTAP), participants gained an understanding in how to use mobile applications and online technology for making business processes more efficient.
The May workshop is one of six new trainings in the Southwest ND program by Center for Technology & Business (CTB). Held in Bowman and Dickinson, workshops are made possible by a Rural Business Opportunity Grant from USDA Rural Development with local programming support from the Strom Center and Bowman County Development Corporation.
Thanks to the grant, CTB was able to purchase a mobile technology lab featuring Microsoft Surface tablets to aide in providing hands on training in essential business technologies to the participants.
Participants also had the opportunity to win great door prizes thanks to the Microsoft Community Connections program.
CTB is still taking registrations for the following workshops:
- June: WordPress Blogging and Website Presence with Wild Inspire
- July: Virtual IT and Cloud Usage with North River IT
- August: Mobile POS Systems and Accepting Electronic Payments with Center for Technology & Business
