North Dakota Women’s Business Center Gives Reason to Celebrate
According to the 2015 State of Women-Owned Businesses Report, women owned businesses in North Dakota account for $3.9 billion in annual sales – a 234.7 percent increase since 1997. Center for Technology & Business (CTB), which operates the North Dakota Women’s Business Center, says the continued economic success of women owned businesses across the state is a reason for North Dakota to celebrate.
“North Dakota is currently ranked as the Number One state for fastest growing women owned businesses. Our state is full of amazing entrepreneurs that continue to build economic development and growth across the region and it’s important for us to continue to invest in these small businesses and their employees.” explains CTB executive director, Deb Eslinger.
To build on the momentum of this continued success, CTB is hosting their fourth annual Women’s Business Summit in Bismarck on November 8 and 9.
The Women’s Business Summit is one of the largest trainings of the year for the organization with an emphasis on in-demand personal and professional development opportunities for all women in the region. The lineup includes a Breakfast with Entrepreneurs Panel; keynote speaker Melissa West; 18 information-packed breakout sessions; one-one one business advising opportunities; and an opening night Wine, Women & Chocolate networking reception.
This unique event has become the go-to training in the state for any woman looking to get inspired and grow professionally. Whether a professional in the workplace, a business owner, or simply a woman aspiring to improve herself, participants of the 2015 Women’s Business Summit are sure to have a worthwhile and enlightening experience to help launch them into the next steps of their career.
