CTB Receives Grant from the Women's Fund of the FM Area Foundation

For the Greater Fargo Moorhead Area Women's Leadership Program

Center for Technology & Business has been awarded a grant from the Women's Fund of the FM Area Foundation for Continuation of their Women’s Leadership Program.

The Women’s Leadership Program (WLP) is dedicated to building a culture of women empowering women in communities across North Dakota. Through an intense 6-month leadership development program, it has improved the personal, professional, community and health leadership skills for women of all ages and backgrounds. The grant from the Women's Fund of the FM Area Foundation supports the 2016 Greater Fargo Moorhead area WLP.

“We are extremely grateful to have part of the 2016 program funded by the Women's Fund of the FM Area Foundation.” Says Center for Technology & Business Executive Director, Deb Eslinger. "This truly is an investment in the community, the 18 graduates of the 2015 Women's Leadership Program raised $16,443.86 in cash donations and in-kind contributions for local area organizations through their WLP Philanthropy Challenge."

The 2016 program will kick off in July, and selected participants will be released soon. The class of 2016 was chosen from a pool of applicants submitted by outstanding women in the region that are ready to challenge themselves and their communities. After six months of coursework, the public will be invited to join participants at a graduation ceremony on December 14, more information to follow.

The Women’s Fund, an endowed fund of the FM Area Foundation, gives grant dollars in our community within three focus areas: women in leadership, children in need of care and the economic well-being of women and their families.
