Meet our 2017 Closing Keynote

Kaeya Majmundar

Kaeya Majmundar

One of the biggest misconceptions about building a startup is that it requires a lot of capital. Truth be told, there are an endless number of ways to growth hack products with no more than a grand in your pocket. The most lucrative brands today are the ones who are able to leverage social capital to achieve real online clout and drive explosive sales. Meet Kaeya Majmundar from the Season five Finale of ABC’s hit show “Shark Tank,” who walked away with a deal in hand from Lori Greiner for her collapsible storage box concept, BZbox. What stood out to Kaeya from that “Shark Tank” experience more than anything, was the sales explosion and media frenzy her product experienced as soon as the episode aired despite the fact that she barely even had a prototype to show for it. Now, Kaeya and her team use a formulaic approach to growth hacking consumer product brands from zero to six figures in six months, and then scaling from there. Outside work, Kaeya is a passionate philanthropist, volunteering her time with the Future Founders organization in Chicago which helps inner city youth start businesses. She is an avid runner and music aficionado; Beyoncé dominates her playlist.
