What personal leadership means to me is what I incorporate into my everyday life. The things that I do, instead of say, are what make me the leader that I am. I feel that if I can be the leader that I want to show others, this to me is personal leadership. Personal
leadership is the way that I interact with the world, and the way that I embrace who I am inside, to then, interpret that to the world. To take charge of your own thoughts, and life, and do whatever it takes to make that idea or goal a reality. In my opinion, I feel that
personal leadership is not taught, but found by each and every person at “the right time” in their lives.
For me, my personal leadership began to evolve as I became more and more comfortable in my own skin. I had to trust that the things that have been instilled in me, along with my morals and values as a person. Trusting myself, and what I know of myself, has allowed me to be passionate about what I want for my life. To take charge of my own destiny, and commit to do whatever it takes to make my dreams a reality. Of all the famous leaders around the world, there is a pattern, in which each leader has taken
charge of their own lives, and the outcomes of their lives. Thru adverse challenges each leader knows the direction in which their lives are going, and commits to do whatever it takes, to accomplish what it is they are passionate about for their lives.
My favorite author is Iyanla Vanzant. She is incredibly honest, and in your face, but when you are open to learn and look into your life’s mirror, she can help you be a better person. My favorite quote from Iyanla Vanzant is
“Everything that happens to you is a reflection of what you believe about yourself. We cannot outperform our level of self-esteem. We cannot draw to ourselves more then we think we are worth.” – Iyanla Vanzant
