Growing as Young Professionals

A favorite saying around our office is “It’s when you step outside your comfort zone that you grow” (thanks to Michelle Wall of Dale Carnegie for continuously reminding us of this often!)
Young women may be intimidated to step outside their comfort zone professionally to try new things, even if there is a great opportunity sitting right in front of them.
I want to personally invite all of the young professional women reading this to take a deep breathe and take that step in order to Make Your Mark.

The Great Plains Young Professionals (GPYP) Summit is one of the only regional conferences geared towards the professional development needs of 21 & up – a truly unique experience. It is packed with top notch speakers, interesting and timely breakout sessions, and plenty of opportunities to network with other young professionals. Through the sharing of ideas and networking with peers, our state’s young professionals will gain the tools and resources needed to keep our state strong.

The GPYP Summit is scheduled for June 6-8 at the Grand International Inn, Minot. The event is hosted by the Minot Young Professionals and the North Dakota Young Professionals (NDYP) Network. Minot is finding its magic after the 2011 Souris River Flood – see what they have planned at gpypsummit.com
