Deb is the Executive Director of Center for Technology & Business. She is an entrepreneurial and visionary leader with a special talent for networking. She is driven to employ innovative techniques to explore potential, obliterate boundaries, and push the outer edge of what can be accomplished. As a certified John Maxwell Trainer, Speaker and Coach; Deb can be described as a passionate entrepreneur who uses her skill sets to help other entrepreneurs grow in the marketplace.

Deidre is motivated and inspired when meeting new people. She enjoys conducting training on a variety of business related topics. Her years of experience in Human Resources, Compliance and Safety bring a unique perspective to CTB's team. A devotion to community development is a priority for her.
She’s an active volunteer with Make-A-Wish foundation, a Board member of the Dakota Zoo in Bismarck and a member of the Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals. Deidre earned a B.A. in Business Administration and Masters in Business Administration, both from University of Mary, and is a graduate of the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber Leadership program.
In addition to Lindsey providing technical support to the entrepreneurs and staff she’s behind the creation of many quick prototype solutions in the software development space. Lindsey may gather requirements for an app that then can be put to bid or merge data that’s needed to drive a business forward. She understands the different layers of technical solutions and software development.
Joanna is our resident rock star with a strong background in finance, accounting, and customer service. She believes in the principles of hard work, honesty, loyalty, and dedication. Her interest in CTB has led her here to gain a sense of belonging, service, and leadership.
Joanna likes to paint and write in her spare time. She also enjoys participating in community events, such as fundraisers, with her friends and family.
With a passion for progress and pushing the limits, Laiken enjoys challenging entrepreneurs and business owners to grow and develop their ideas. She specializes in marketing and is dedicated to helping others maximize their success.
Laiken’s background is in agriculture. After graduating from North Dakota State University, she spent several years working with farmers and ranchers, whom she would consider the pioneers of entrepreneurship. During her time in the Ag sector, she garnered comprehensive marketing, graphic design and event planning experience. Laiken has a heart of service and is eager to share that in North Dakota’s growing start-up communities.
A Minot native, Demars holds a bachelor's degree in Management and a Master's degree in Strategic Leadership, both from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. He offers a broad skill set by using his past experience in operations management, sales, small business development, cooperative development, community/economic development, and non-profit management/leadership.
As the Director of Cooperative Business Development at Common Enterprise Development Corporation, he was instrumental in moving several businesses from conception to launch. Working for the Small Business Development Center, Demars has helped several businesses analyze and improve financial performance.
Demars' work has required proficiency in strategic planning, financial analysis, business operations, and communication with a variety of stakeholders.
Renee Ottmar serves as Program Manager for the North Dakota Women’s Business Center – West. She relocated to Bismarck with her husband Desi (a Mott, ND native) and two children, from Colorado in 2014. Renee has an extensive background in software project and program management across a variety of industries including media, consumer electronics, education and aviation. In her free time, Renee enjoys taxiing her kids to their extracurricular activities while listening to entrepreneurship and true-crime podcasts.
Christy Dauer is the Program Manager for the North Dakota Women’s Business Center – East. A native of West Fargo, she is a sales and marketing professional with over a decade of successful experience in expanding client relationships. Christy specializes in sales and marketing to make meaningful relationships. Her smile has been called contagious and her laughter fills a room. Inspired by her parents at the age of six, Christy has a passion of helping others by volunteering and giving back to local non-profits. Christy lives in West Fargo with her husband and two boys.
