Building North Dakota’s economic future through leadership, technology, and women’s business development.
Center for Technology & Business (CTB) is a 501(c)(3) founded in 1999 in Bismarck, North Dakota. Our initial goal was to develop simplified computer materials for use in rural small businesses and to teach business owners to utilize technology as a business tool. Since that time, more than 21,000 rural North Dakotans have learned how to use computers, hooked up to the Internet, and significantly increased rural employment options. The economic impact to the state and our rural communities has been phenomenal!
Over the last decade, CTB has grown to facilitate many diverse programs based on technology and business development needs across North Dakota.
Our programming includes
CTB operates the women’s business center program for North Dakota, a partnership funded by the US Small Business Administration and the ND Department of Commerce. All SBA programs are extended to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis. SBA's cooperation with this program does not constitute or imply its endorsement of any opinions, products and/or services. Reasonable arrangements for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance.
CTB runs MasterMinds, a program focused on providing a framework for networking and professional development for women business owners across North Dakota.
CTB provides computer training and technical assistance to businesses and individuals across the state of North Dakota. Through “Train the Trainer” certification seminars, local trainers learn to provide instruction for adults of all ages in an easy-going, non-threatening manner.
CTB facilitates the Rural Development Council by providing a forum and network through which issues, projects and activities pertinent to rural residents are acted upon.
CTB coordinates NDYP, a statewide network dedicated to advancing opportunities for young professionals across North Dakota.
CTB partners with NDCAN to hold hands-on learning seminars throughout North Dakota that provide information on local career opportunities, college readiness and financial planning for families of students in grades 7-12.
